Hello! My name is Elizabeth and I go by "Betsy"! I am an active and fun-loving person looking for an awesome family that would welcome me into their circle. I have been working with children from a very young age and I can never get enough fun with them! I love to see their minds and lives grow and thrive and flourish and I love to play a part in that process and growth in their lives! I was homeschooled all of my life and I am one of the older members of a family of 11. Before I had a career in child care I was a long-time assistant and mommy’s helper to my Mother in all of our housecare and childcare needs from cleaning and house management to meal prep and babysitting/housesitting. As I got older, I started working with my church helping with camps, classes, and more. Read more As an adult, I started working with a small local preschool as a teacher and later moved on to The Goddard School, where I work currently. I am now looking to move on from the preschool scene and find a family who can take full advantage of my skills and what I have to offer. Outside of work, I am an aspiring Professional Tailor and Horse Trainer. I am currently attending Central Piedmont CC where I am working to obtain my professional Tailors Certification. I also work part-time (mostly on the weekends and some evenings) at a riding stable where I am learning to work with horses and develop my skills in horse training. I love getting outdoors and hiking and being active and I enjoy many pastimes in that field. I am a big lover of all animals from horses to dogs to cats to fish and local flora and fauna. Another one of my hobbies is horticulture, I love studying and working with plants and gardens. I have a large assortment of indoor and outdoor plants that I love to explore and care for. My preferred situation would be one with guaranteed flat rate compensation and I would love to find a family that can be flexible with me on my schooling schedule and also make room for some of the occasional traveling that I do throughout the year to visit family. My family and my large, extensive extended family are very important to me and there are about five BIG holidays throughout the year where we have family “reunions” and it's important for me to be able to make it to as many of these as possible. It would mostly require me to take the occasional long weekend and maybe once or twice have a few more days off in the week or take the entire week off for the longer holidays.
