Hi! I'm Sharon. I'm a mom of 3 big kids :) a certified teacher with a degree in Elementary Ed and Early Childhood from Fontbonne U. I taught KDG last year, Fourth and 5th the year before. I've worked for 2 STL city Children's Centers as well. I'm currently working at one now with infants exclusively, been very drawn to infants since my daughter left for college last fall. It is filling my a spot in my heart that other wise would be so very empty. I am humbled and so very honored to work with new, young parents and their beautiful children. I know I am needed in this capacity as well, I have survived all the stages new parents are facing and I've loved every minute of it!! I am very passionate about all children I care for or teach, especially within the infant to toddler realm when Read more rocking, cuddling , holding, cognitive development,language, eye contact etc are all crucial. I treat them as if they were my own!! My style of care and teaching is genuine, empathetic, high energy, humorous, reliable, experienced and just so overflowing with love! I'm realizing every day now that I'm better suited for a nanny type, caregiver role versus the Center environment. My ideal situation would be with at least two children. I've seen some parents describing a "nanny share " situation? I would be very interested in that ! Coming from a center I'm used to being with more than one baby/child but....I want to be able to build positive, meaningful one on one relationship s as well. I live in south city, by Ted Drewes. My husband is a STL City Deputy Fire Chief. We are active in the community. We have one son left at home. He is a junior at SLUH High. My nest at home will be totally empty soon.
