It takes a lot of incredible humans including parents, family, caregivers, and teachers to raise kids to be happy and healthy. I have nannied part time with a family for almost six years with three children from ages three months to age 11 years, and they will no longer need care in the fall due to their parent’s work hours changing. I will be able to care for a new family part-time. I love working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school age kids and watching them change as they grow and learn. My background includes raising two kids of our own, first grade teacher for five years, school district parent educator with babies through pre-kindergarten, and in home day care. I love spending time with kids, planning fun and active indoor and outdoor activities for them, taking them on parent-approved outings, and seeing the world through the children’s’ eyes. My Read more education and background have provided training in child development from birth to school age and kindergarten through eighth grade, Spanish language background, Infant Massage training as a massage class teacher, conscious discipline positive practices, STEM and brain development, and social development and issues. (Tantrums, Toilet training, Encouraging friendships, Self-esteem, etc.) I bring activities to challenge babies and kids in all areas of development and like to provide parents with notes and feedback about our time together. The parent-caregiver relationship is an important one. I find great joy in working with children, love dogs, am a non-smoker, am CPR and First Aid trained, and can be mostly flexible in scheduling part time work.
