Meet Alicia

• Comfortable with pets

As a passionate advocate of children as a full-time teacher for 4th-6th grade, I consider it a noble and humbling duty to care for society's youngest members. Although I only have one year of paid child experience, as I recently started my job as a teacher, I have 8 years of experience with children through various volunteer opportunities and internships teaching overseas. Some things that I highly value are the respect of the child. As a teacher, one of the greatest lessons that I have learned are that we, too, can learn great valuable things from the child if we take time to slow down. Some things that I have learned from the child is their ability to not grow numb to familiar things but instead, choosing to find joy in simplicity. As a follower of Christ, the LORD has used these children to grow in my worship of God. Read more Children have this special ability to wear their hearts on their sleeves.
