Hi! My name is Leah and I am a young professional looking for a family to support this summer of 2023. I have a Bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in child development and am certified in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy. I have been a full time nanny with one family, a boy (7) and a girl (5) and a cat, for 4 consecutive summers. Prior to that, I was a part-time nanny for 2 summers with another family, boy (3) and girl (18 mo). Since graduating college, over 2 years ago, I have been a Primary Behavior Therapist at an Autism Therapy Center in Minnesota. I also have experience as a yoga instructor, small group leader, tutor, and as a direct-support professional. My husband and I are moving to Panama City Beach in May and we love to be active, especially outdoors. I love to read, write, Read more swim, exercise, attend church, and of course care for children! As a nanny, I not only provide child-care but I equip children with life skills. I encourage children to be as independent as possible, teach them to entertain themselves without the use of electronics, provide them with cooking/cleaning/self-care skills appropriate to their age, and can tutor any school subject! I also encourage participating in community activities throughout the summer.
