Hello, My name is Kirsten Wiley. I am the mother of 2 boys who attended De La Salle High School and are both pursuing their Masters Degrees. I worked in day care for six years while attending college. During that time I also worked for the MISD, I do have experience working with children who have special needs. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I worked for Catholic Social Services of Wayne County. My primary role there was the reunification of families. I was a liaison between the parents, the children and the Lincoln Hall of Juvenile Justice. I was also responsible for updating a grant and using it as community outreach. In my next role at Catholic Social Services I worked as a Foster Care agent. It was my responsibility to vet prospective adoptive parents for placement of children. While my boys were in school I was Read more a nanny for my niece from age 3 months to 4 years. Then for my nephew from age 2 until 4 years. My children were 28 months apart so I comfortable caring for siblings close in age. I was the team parent for my eldest son’s soccer team. I ran the school store at my youngest son’s school. I come with the knowledge that the mother of two young men has. We have been down some tricky roads. My youngest son had pneumonia. We spent a week in the hospital. He then developed asthma which we had to keep a close eye on. When he was about six I noticed that I wasn’t needing to buy him new clothes, so off to the Dr. we went. The short story is that his pituitary gland wasn’t producing enough HGH, and so we had to supplement for what his body was lacking with daily injections. He is now well over 6 feet. Your probably wonderingly why I am telling you this. It is simply because as a mom and an observant person I knew that something wasn’t right. In both instances I had to step up and strongly advocate for my child.(I don’t think I won any favorite mom awards). This is all to say that I have seen a lot. I am diligent and dependable. I’m a straight shooter. Most of all I miss my sons when they were young and would love the opportunity to be involved in small peoples lives again. Thank you for reading this, Kirsten Wiley
