I have always loved helping others. I major in neuropsychology and minor in philosophy and religious studies. I currently work at a suicide prevention hotline. Being considerate of others is what I love. My previous job I was a caregiver for the developmentally disabled. I am certified for CPR/First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens. My career allows me to have a motivational interviewing approach and that allows others to feel empowered for them making their own decisions. What my job entails is to counsel callers during mental health crises and follow procedures tailored to their specific situation, developing my critical thinking in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
