Hello, there! My name’s Grace. I’m located in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn currently but grew up in southern Maine as well as Saratoga Springs, NY. I moved to NYC this spring and am looking for full-time employment to begin as soon as possible in Brooklyn or a reasonable commute away. I worked part-time at a family childcare center outside of Saratoga Springs, NY, while attending college to earn my BFA from Skidmore College. I can provide a reference from that employer. I’ve babysat numerous times as a young adult, worked as an assistant art teacher for kids 3-12 at a local summer camp in Maine and nannied short-term for a five month old as well. I’ve been employed as a domestic violence advocate, case manager and housing navigator for the last year and a half at an emergency shelter. Families and single individuals often stayed with us in the program for Read more 3-9 months due to the housing crisis. This was a challenge but provided an opportunity to build long term relationships that made the work that much more impactful. I worked closely with babies and young children throughout my time in this role and would be happy to provide a supervisor reference from that organization as well.
