The best thing about children to me is seeing them learn new things about the world, the discoveries and excitement that comes with that! I have worked with children in a teaching aspect from 4 to the ages of 18. I was a middle school teacher before joining the Maryland National Guard. Over the summer I would direct Youth Theatre and teach acting classes. I am still a big kid at heart. I was also a middle school and Highschool Basketball coach. I have worked with different students with disabilities as well. Now I am setting myself to go into Law School here in Maryland. What sets me apart in my empathy with students. I am the oldest of 12 myself so I know the differences between sympathy vs empathy. I also can connect with a child without being like the child.
