My own children are now 24 and 20. Both kids have now graduated college and living their adult lives. I have extensive childcare experience. Before having my own children I worked as a live out nanny as well as a live in nanny for several different families over the years. I have had experience babysitting since I was in high school. I have been a Girl Scout leader for multiple years and a Destination imagination coach. I have had CORI checks over the years through the local school system which allowed me to volunteer in the school system. I have experience with newborns on up through high school age. My style is hands which includes reading to the child/children, exploring nature together, and going for walks. My literal "running around outside" days are in the past! :) But hiking, cycling, and kayaking are still enjoyed. :) There is learning in Read more everyday experiences. If your child is school age then I will guide them to do homework when needed but will not do it for them. We learn by our mistakes and also we are not our mistakes. My priority will be the care and safe-keeping of your child. I am CPR certified. I am vaccinated for Covid and will continue to wear a mask in public places for now.
