I am a recent LSU graduate with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Anthropology, and I feel that my background has provided me with great experience regarding human appreciation, interaction, and communication. I have a kind, gentle nature and a genuine desire to dedicate myself to your children and help with anything else that will ease your load. I started gaining experience caring for a child once my younger brother got out of his toddler stage, and as I got older I began to babysit my younger cousins. I took a Safe Sitters course when I was about 14 and then began caring for children outside the family. I have worked for a few families consistently as well as worked random jobs for holidays and date nights. For each family that I worked for regularly, I was expected to make the children’s meals, keep them entertained through our time together, wake Read more them up and/or get them to bed, and tend to their basic needs. I have experience with a wide range of different ages and characteristics, and I have worked with up to four children at once. I was also a part of the Best Buddies program throughout high school, so I have some experience with special needs children. My babysitting jobs have recently become more irregular due to moving, college, and work, but I look forward to dedicating more of my time to helping families by lessening their workloads and stress levels. I wish to make things easier for you in whatever ways I can. This may include child care, pet care, garden care, housecleaning, running errands, providing transportation, meal preparation, and any other chores. I have reliable transportation and am a safe driver. I am confident caring for pets, as I have pets of my own and have volunteered with animals multiple times. I currently work at a plant nursery and care for my home garden, so I would love to teach your children about the wonderful world of plants if given the opportunity. I also love to cook and am very interested in healthy eating, so I will gladly prepare delicious and nutritious meals for the family. I believe in encouraging children to be creative and will plan unique crafts and activities for us to do. I love going outside, being active, hiking, bike riding, and swimming. I also enjoy learning new things and would love to spark that desire in others; I will encourage your children to absorb new information, read, and do experiments. I am available to help with any school-related work as well.
