Dear Family, First thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I have frequently been called a jack of all trades, and the families I've worked for like to joke that they'll get rid of their own children before me because of what I do. Because my current family is all older children, they call me the home manager or family assistant. I have been in my current position is with a family of 5. Kids aged 18, 16, and 11; all of which are active in numerous sports and school activities, they usually each play for 2 or 3 teams per season. (Busy, busy!!!) I spend a great deal of time coordinating schedules, carpools and appointments as well as running the home. The kids father commutes from DC to New Jersey & Flordia weekly for work and the mother works full time with some travel, meaning I Read more make sure that the house and everything runs smoothly with the best interest of the family as a priority. I do all of the cooking, cleaning, laundry, majority of shopping for the home/kitchen, car maintenance, home maintenance and everything in between. Sept 1 will mark 5 years with my current position, which I love and will definitely struggle with leaving such an amazing family- they have become my own. I do have a resume and excellent personal and professional references available at request. Just as an idea of my experience, I have left my former post for my position before on my file as well: I have worked with families ages ranging from newborn to 15 years, some with special needs and up to 4 siblings at one time. I was with this family for 4 years and have become and remain very close with the entire family - I see and talk with them multiple times a week. In my nanny positions I've done cooking, cleaning, errands, etc. so that is not something I am opposed to doing. I do all kinds of activies with my child from playing dress up, to working on writing and letters, to field trips, playdates, etc. I have remained close with all of the families that I have worked for over the years and hope to remain doing so always.
