My name is Amy. I am a 52 year old mother of three grown boys and a grandmother to three girls. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana State University in Family and Consumer Sciences. My degree of study was Child Development and Family Life . When my boys were young I owned and operated my own child care ministry. My current position is providing Case Management Service for the Indiana Medicaid Waiver program. I have over 39 years experience providing quality care to children of all ages and adults. My first childcare experience was at age 13, after attending a Safe Sitter course. I cared for my neighbors two daughters during the summer while they were at work. I am a firm believer in positive praise and encouragement to build self esteem and deter negative behaviors. I am hopeful to have the opportunity to meet new families needing care within 25 miles of my home in New Albany, IN. I am available Friday evenings after 7pm and all day on Saturday and Sundays.
