I graduated from Loras college with a degree in elementary education with a focus on early childhood. Since graduating, I have worked 5 years in a preschool setting with up to 20 children in my classroom. I was a team lead and helped other teachers learn to use a variety of resources and techniques in the classroom for whole group as well as with each individual child. Throughout my experience I was given a chance to also help lead an infant classroom where I worked with up to 12 infants as well as oversaw the other teachers in the classroom. After leaving the school setting I began nannying for a family with one child. When I started the child was 9 months old. He is now turning 4 and will be in full day preschool. With the needs of the family changing, I am looking for another full time position. Read more I have learned from these experiences that I truly enjoyed getting to know each and every one of those kids. It’s amazing to me how kids can learn to trust in someone who shows that they are always going to be there for them. That is something I hope to show all children that I will work with in the future, I care for them and will always be there for them. To me it is important for each child to feel appreciated and loved for who they are. I would love to connect and see if I could be a good fit for your family.
