Hi! My name is Emma Kielion, and I’m passionate about nurturing children through play, creativity, and meaningful connection—especially with the natural world. I have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (with special education included), and I have my PEL (teaching license). I’ve worked with children from 6 months to 13 years old in a variety of settings including nannying, preschools, summer camps, and student teaching placements. What I love most about being a nanny is the opportunity to slow down and truly connect with kids—supporting their growth while encouraging curiosity, independence, and a sense of wonder. I believe children thrive when given space to explore, and I love incorporating nature-based activities like outdoor play, nature walks, gardening, and using natural materials in creative ways. Whether we’re making mud pies or building stick forts, I see nature as the ultimate classroom. I’m CPR/First Aid certified, trained in developmentally appropriate practices, Read more and experienced in inclusive settings, including working with children with special needs. I’m also very familiar with the Reggio Emilia approach, which aligns beautifully with my belief in child-led, nature-based learning.
