Hello! My name is Renee. I am a dedicated and caring worker. I work great with children, and connect with them quickly. I am attending University of St. Francis in the fall with a major in elementary education, but I love teaching and helping children in any way I can - even outside the classroom. I have had experience with children only a few months old all the way to teenagers. My experience- Last summer, I worked as a summer camp counselor for children ages 3-6. I helped the children with social interactions, building relationships, learning valuable lessons, and keeping a timely schedule throughout the day. I also privately tutor children in subjects including math, science, and english, so I can easily intertwine this into the daily lives of the children. I have volunteered for 3 years at a church in Westchester as a Religious education teacher, creating lesson plans, Read more leading fun activities, and having effective classroom management. While I enjoy this role, religion is not be an issue at all, and I am open to any beliefs! Additionally, I have worked at a middle school at their band aftercare program for 3 years now. In this role, I guided children through their homework, and kept them on track for their lessons. Through my high school, I was also able to participate in a program that allowed me to join a 2nd grade class every school day at Pleasantdale Elementary School, assisting the teachers, and even teaching the class myself! Finally, I have babysat for multiple infants, connecting easily, and making sure they are very taken care of. Apart from childcare, I have a great deal of experience with animals as well. I volunteer at a local cat shelter every week, and have had dogs my whole life. So pets are not a problem at all, and will get lots of attention and love! I hope to assist anyone who needs a helping hand with their child care, and make a meaningful connection with the children!
