Hello. I’m Ashley, but most call me Ash! I’m 36 years old and recently relocated to Chicago for my Master’s in psychology. I’ve spent many years working with children, including working a daycare as a teacher. I spent over a year working with 2 year olds. We did circle time, which included teaching their colors, months, days and body parts. I was also able to read them stories and sing songs. During class time, I was able to implement routine and structure. I created a plan to wash hands and potty train. Once I left the school, I ended up becoming a nanny for a family for over a year. One child was 2 and the other was 8 months. We did breakfast and lunch. I also did nap time! We played a few games outside, did story time and I would do dishes, laundry and clean up the house. Read more I believe our children need love and understanding. I spent much of my younger years working with the big sister program at my high school. I was able to provide some children with extra care and compassion. This led me to do child and adolescent development in psychology. I also have a 14 year old brother that I have helped raise. I’ve become secondary mother to him. I have been the one to go on all his school trips and doctor appointments. I’ve changed many diapers in my lifetime. Children have always loved me and I have always enjoyed working with them! My CPR certification just expired and I’m willing to get a recertification! I do not smoke or drink. I live a pretty quiet life, especially since I’m going through Grad school! I love pets of all kinds!
