Hello! For as long as I can remember, I’ve been working with kids. It started as babysitting and teaching Sunday school as a teen, and has grown into a huge joy in my life. I started working with children professionally just about 7 years ago. When I moved to Chicago (from Kentucky) I began working as a assistant teacher in a 2-3 year old classroom. It was then that I realized I had a true passion for early childhood education! From there I taught in 2 other schools, working with ages ranging from 3 months to 5 years. After a few years of teaching, I pivoted towards being a nanny/house manager (and I love it!). I would say that my style of teaching focuses on learning productive communication skills and independence. I want every child to feel seen/heard and respected, because that leads to an environment that is conducive to Read more learning. Overall I would describe myself as passionate, energetic, positive and nurturing. I am CPR and first aid trained/certified, with experience managing severe food allergies.
