Hello! My name is Camila, I’m 28yo, I started working with children back in my home country, Brazil, while in school as a Gymnastics coach. I worked as a coach for beginners and professional gymnasts for 5 years. In 2016 I came to the States as an Au Pair and I worked for 2 years with the same family with two children (6 and 3yo). After that, I went Business school and I worked for a family for 2.5 years. Children were 18 and 2mo at the time. After two years, the third child came, and 5 months later they moved to Vermont. I then worked as an intern for a real estate company for 9 months. I'm experienced with creating a routine - considering the kids' ages difference; sleep training; potty training; creating activities to reach their milestones; cooking and feeding; bathing and teaching about hygiene; cleaning up and Read more stimulating the child's independence, and much more. When caring for children I like to create a calm environment where I can listen to the child's needs and patiently teach and educate them. I also introduce Brazilian culture by cooking meals, listening to Brazilian kid’s songs, and teaching Portuguese words. I have excellent references and I keep in touch with all the families I worked for by FaceTiming, traveling to see them, or hanging out when they're in the city. I consider myself very flexible and adaptable to the family's routine and their way to educate. Communication is key and teamwork along with the parents is what makes the children's day-to-day smoother! I’d describe my personality as proactive, responsible, and patient. I like working with kids because every day is a surprise when it comes to children. They're a blank page and I enjoy helping them fill it up based on love, patience, and lots of fun - so learning becomes something natural. I’m looking for an easy going, communicative, and fun family! I've had great past experiences working as a nanny; this wouldn't be real without communication and respect. Out of curiosity: I grew up being a gymnast. I trained as a professional gymnast for 10 years. I'm very disciplined and respectful with schedules thanks to all of my coaches - including my mom who was my ballet teacher during practices. Looking to fill my hours when I’m not at school: Tuesday, Wednesday (8-1pm or 4-8pm; class 2-3:30), Thursday and/or Friday.
