I worked at The JCC in Early Childhood as a preschool teacher for 3 years and have been a nanny for the past 6 years. My current family will be moving to NYC in the winter, and as devastated as we all are, it’s an opportunity the dad could not pass up. I’ve been with them for 3 years and the boys are now 2 & 4. It’s been such a joy having the privilege of watching them grow up and they will forever have a special place in my heart. As one incredible chapter closes, I am excited for a new one to open. Whether it’s engaging them in science experiments, art projects, dramatic play, music, letter and number games, I try to stick to some kind of curriculum. Learning through play, I enjoy getting to spark their interests in all kinds of areas. I take the kiddos all around town; whether we’re checking out a new playground or library, visiting a museum, walking around the Botanic Gardens or going to the duck pond, beach, or zoo, it is so magical getting to see a world of wonder through their eyes. I strive to keep children safe, comfortable and happy by developing a meaningful relationship with the children and family. Optimism, patience, and communication are key.
