Hi, I'm Jenni! I am an enthusiastic, passionate, experienced, and caring childcare provider. I love children of all ages, and I am deeply committed to providing a nurturing and supportive experience. I am particularly interested in working with children through a lens of attachment, sensory processing, and the nervous system. I have bachelor's degrees in Spanish, Political Science, and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies; and I am working towards going back to school for a doctorate in Occupational Therapy. I enjoy knitting, making art, reading, playing games, and watching movies. I love animals, especially my cat, Juniper! I have been working with kids since I was in high school, when I taught swimming lessons to children everywhere from 6 months to 10 years in age. In college, I volunteered for a YWCA program in Missoula, MT, called GUTS! (Girls Using Their Strengths!), an after school program aimed at empowering young Read more girls in elementary and middle school by identifying and developing our different strengths. After college, I worked as the children's advocate coordinator at the Missoula YWCA's domestic violence shelter, where I was the lead advocate for the children and supported their mothers. At the same time I was working in the YWCA's supervised visitation and exchange site for noncustodial parents to see their children in an environment safe for the children and both parents. For a year and a half, I worked in two preschools--one in Missoula and one in Seattle. In Montana I worked in toddler classrooms, ages 1 to 3. In Seattle I worked in a preschool classroom with children ages 3 to 5. With the pandemic, I transitioned into nannying. I was a nanny to a 2 year old boy for one year before moving back to Montana where I did weekly babysitting for a family with children with anxiety and sensory processing disorders. Now I’m in Chicago working at a high school, looking to babysit after school.

Jenni nannied for our son for a year when he was 2 years old. She was always reliable, communicative, and considerate. She took an active role in his development, was highly attuned to his interests and needs, and structured their time together to create a well-rounded experience for him that included play, art, reading, learning Spanish, and daily exploration of the outdoors. She also occasionally worked with our older kids, then ages 11 and 15 and had a great relationship with them as well. We were very sad to see her go when she moved out of state. Any family would be lucky to have her care for their children!
