I have experience with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, gradeschoolers, and teens. I have worked as a Sitter as well as a Nanny. I've also been a Lifeguard, Swimming Instructor teaching swim class to ages 4-12, Summer Camp Coach, and Tutor. My priority is the care and enrichment of the children in my care. I like to be engaged with the children as either a participant or an observer. I’m attentive and responsive when they need help to navigate their world and situations around them. I am trustworthy, accountable, and choose to do the right thing in any situation. I'm reliable and you can count on me to show up and be present. It's my commitment to keeping children in a safe environment that gives parents peace of mind. Working with kids is inevitably challenging and not everyone is equipped to work with children. Tough days require both patience and empathy, while being clear and consistent. Everyone has different personalities and working for families requires a versatile set of skills and abilities to be able to work with them. I've encountered differing parenting styles from one family to another and I find that being flexible and adaptable is key to having a good relationship with the parents. In my opinion, spending time with children and being a positive influence is important for their social, emotional, and cognitive well-being. I am up to date with CDC recommended vaccinations.
