My name is Jessie and I recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors of Science in Education. I have a lot of experience caring for children, so much that I decided to pursue a career in early childhood education. I started caring for children at the early age of 15. I took weekend jobs for neighborhood families with 4+ kids. In high school, I was the instructor for a cheer leading mini-camp three summers in a row. Additionally, I volunteered to help a youth football association coach their cheerleaders. Once in college, I gained the most experience I have ever had with children. I started by mentoring in a Fulton county school for 50 hours in a first grade classroom. I also received 10 hours of experience teaching art lessons to k-5 in a Clarke County school. When I was accepted into the ECE program in Fall Read more 2013, I started tutoring and shadowing in two different Clarke County schools. I also became a Clarke County employee when I accepted job as an after school program teacher. I continued my experiences in spring 2014 by student teaching a third grade class in a Barrow County school and a private school Pre-K in Clarke County. In fall 2014, I worked with a first grade class in a Clarke a county school. My final semester in the program at UGA, I was a full-time student teacher for a fourth grade class in a Gwinnett County school. I am in the process of earning my teaching certificate (taking the GACE July 2015) and I am CPR/First aid certified. I am now seeking full-time employment from a loving family. I have had countless experiences with children and I hope my qualifications allow me to continue pursuing teaching and care-giving!
