My name is Christine. I have dedicated the past 28 years of my life teaching and helping children to reach their full potential. I love providing opportunities for children to explore, discover, or create and use their imagination. I was Montessori Preschool Teacher for 14 years. I received a Teacher of the Year Award in 2008. I have taken care of HNW families and tutored a 5 year old. He currently tests at the fourth grade level! I have taken care of several families for 3-4 years each. I worked for Consumer Directed Choices as a Personal Assistant for 10 years with a child with Autism. I left that position to move to SC. I received a “Most Reliable” Award in 2018. In the 10 years I was there I never called in sick or was late. I treat all children with love and respect. I honor all parents’ rules. Read more I am self motivated, organized, and honest. While I owned my licensed daycare for 14 years I completed 15 hours of Early Childhood Education each year. I also received my Early Childhood Development Diploma at Techhnical College of the Low Country just last year. Just this year I have also furthered my Early Childhood Development Education by taking 117 hours of online courses. I also have 2 years of RN Nursing from Fulton Montgomery Community College from 2010. I didn’t pursue Nursing because I realized my real passion is teaching and taking care of children. I am well versed in nutritional meal preparation. I have sleep trained infants. I have had a clean driver’s license 36 years. I am CPR and First Aid Certified. I also have impeccable references from SC and NY. Above all, I create a nurturing environment and plan activities that advance educational, emotional, and social growth among children I have the pleasure to care for on a daily basis. I am available as of August 1, 2022 for FT only. Some activities I like to do with children are go outside and play ball, swim, ride bikes, play in the sand, go for long walks, go to the playground, go to museums, blow bubbles, plant a garden and teach about vegetables, visit a farm and teach about farm animals, go apple or pumpkin picking, go to a play group at the library, go on a treasure hunt, and make an obstacle course. I love to read books, pretend play, dress up, produce puppet shows, pretend kitchen or play house, educational toys, writing, phonics, cook, sing songs, name objects, sensory box or table, and play games. I also like to have the children help set the table, help prepare the meals, teach them manners, and etiquette. It teaches them self sufficiency and responsibility.
