My name is Jade, I’m 20 years old. I’m a sophomore in college majoring in developmental psychology. I fell in love with being a nanny after working full time for amazing triplet toddler boys. The job prepared me for teaching, meal-prepping, household organizing, potty training, creating safe environments and encouraging communication. I worked with them from ages 14 to 24 months before they started daycare. Thanks to their parents recommendation, I was offered an assistant teaching job soon after. At Primrose School of Tradition, I modeled respect, patience, and care for classrooms of 23 students. My first classroom were ages 2-3 and the second 3-4. I approached each child as an individual who I get to help grow and express themselves. I learned how to efficiently guide children through meltdowns and conflicts using positive reinforcement, ensuring I make the child feel heard as well as offering choices.
