Hi, I’m Kaelin—an active, bubbly, creative, and hardworking individual with over 10 years of experience working with children. I have served in various roles, including public school teacher, homeschool teacher, special needs teacher, nanny, tutor, and foster sister. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Florida International University, where I graduated in December 2020. I also have a Florida Teachers certification for Birth - 3rd grade and founded a tutoring company called Grow from Learning (www.growfromlearning.com), which embodies my educational philosophy. My journey with children began when I was 12 years old, as my mother decided to start fostering children. We cared for and loved children from newborns to 13-year-olds, which ignited my passion for early childhood. In high school, I volunteered at two different daycares: one was a larger establishment with children aged 1 to 5 years old, and the other was an aftercare program for Read more school-aged children. Throughout college, I worked at multiple daycares, gaining experience with all age groups by assisting throughout the daycare. I also had the opportunity to shadow teachers in elementary classrooms every semester. After receiving my degree, I spent several years as a nanny for children aged 1-12, a homeschool teacher for a 1st and 5th grader, a Special Education Preschool teacher, and a Kindergarten teacher at a charter school. As a creative individual, I love integrating creativity with education. I have designed activities based on age, skill level, and interests. For example, in 2017, I created a six-week summer program for two boys, aged 2 and 4, that included fun activities, interesting information, and field trips. Each week had a theme, such as fire week, where we watched and read stories about fire safety, created a game using red solo cups and a hose, and visited a local fire station to meet firefighters and tour the station. I would love to join a family where we can work together as a team, respect one another, and allow me to help educate their child through fun activities and engaging experiences. My passion is educating and bringing new experiences to every child I’m around. I absolutely love arts and crafts and fun physical activities!
