I have been in childcare for more than ten years, and have excellent references from families in the US, Italy and South Africa. Babies straight from NICU to teenagers have been in my care. I have at times been a substitute teacher at a Montessori school. I have been employed by a family in the Ponce-Davis area since October 2020, when I returned from a 2 year stint in Italy. My current duties include getting children aged 4, 6 and 8 up and ready for school, breakfast duties, preparing school lunches, pickup/drop-off, after school care including homework supervision, organizing of children’s living- and play areas, readying children for bed, and light housekeeping. When required to stay on while parents go out at night, or when parents cannot do so, I also prepare meals. When other staff are absent, I step in. My current work day starts at 6:45 and ends at 7pm, with time taken off between. Red Cross PCR certified, strong swimmer, safe driver on either side of road (manual or stick), well traveled, multilingual US citizen. Knowledgeable about natural remedies and homeopathy, if that is the preference. English is not my first language, but I speak it impeccably. Fully vaccinated and boosted. My focus is on children, their growth and well being. I am physically fit and active, and encourage spending time outside with children whenever possible. I love animals and my duties have often included taking care of them. I am extremely flexible and can step in for any emergency, but prefer advanced notice when agreed-upon working hours are changed in order to maintain a balanced life for myself. I am extremely punctual, trustworthy, capable, and discreet. I live close to the Cocoplum circle, and prefer working in Palmetto Bay, Pinecrest, Coral Gables and Coconut Grove, since I am very familiar with these areas. Apart from between 2017-2020, I have lived in Miami since 1994. I have two mature children living in the Brickell area, and one in Colorado.
