Hi! I’m an experienced , energetic, young nanny and tutor who’s been working with kids for going on 5 years now. I have always had a big passion for kids and plan on going into a career of child psychology. I am looking for a family I have good chemistry with and can see myself working with for awhile, but I am also open to short term jobs for the time being! I am comfortable tutoring and or helping out with school/ home work, and am familiar with using the Montessori method. I have experience working with all age groups including infants as well as siblings and multiple children at a time. I first got into childcare babysitting around my neighborhood, then with volunteer work through Sierra Clubs ICO group. With them I lead small groups of elementary aged kids during field trips and wold plan/ host activities. I was Read more also a Summer Camp Counselor for two consecutive years working with elementary and middle school aged kids, where my love of planning and creating activities grew. I then completed a 40 hour childcare course including first aid and child CPR, as well as Early Literacy Courses to get my certification to become a Assistant Daycare Teacher, where I worked at All Kids Academy in the two year olds room. Job responsibilities included helping with lesson plannings, organizing and supervising creative and educational activities, managing classrooms of up to 10 toddlers at a time, maintaining cleanliness of the classroom and bathroom throughout the day, changings, addressing behavioral problems and or disputes between the children, keeping track of eating and bathroom schedules on a written daily card, nap time, keeping track of allergies and supervising snacks and lunch , and much more. I then started full time nannying where I have been able to work with a few different families, where responsibilities were similar to the daycare with the added responsibilities of a few household chores. I found that I thrive off of being able to work with kids on their development/ education individually and being able plan different types of lessons.
