I am a single, SAHM mom of 5 ages 11, 14, 16, 18 and 21 for 20 years. I have not been a nanny to others but have plenty of interaction with children other than my own. I have many years of experience with ADHD, juvenile bi polar illness, ODD, speech therapy and occupational therapy. One of my sons had 4 years of intense speech and occupational therapy. My other son had speech therapy for 2 years. One of my sons has SVT so I’m familiar with tachycardia. I am knowledgeable about development, nutrition, health, behavior, non pharmaceutical options to health issues and more. I am observant, consistent, attentive and caring. If a newborn is hungry, it won’t take me more than a few seconds to figure that out. I’ve used time out and sleep training using the Ferber Method. While that worked for me, I’m able to adjust to Read more your preferences. I am capable of caring for multiple children and keeping up with the home. I love to cook. If the children are quite young, I may do simple meals to ensure all needs have been met but on days I have the time, I will treat the family to my famous lasagna. I like to include the children in things like cooking, cleaning up their toys, making their bed, folding laundry and do it in a fun way to encourage them to be responsible as they grow. I can provide resources I’ve found in my journey as a mom. If you are expecting, I will gladly help you prepare. I’ve breastfed all 5 of my children and can assist you should you need it. I encourage parents to introduce me to the child/children and spend some time with all of you to prepare them for my presence to increase comfort and reduce anxiety prior to starting full time. It would be beneficial to write down important information I need to know such as schedules, food preferences, health concerns etc for me to reference and to write down any concerns or situations that may need to be addressed upon your return. I welcome your feedback, suggestions or corrections. I work for you and it’s my responsibility to ensure things go as smoothly as possible.Your child will be treated with the same love and respect as my own children. I have experience working with a nanny myself so working with a parent would be a great opportunity. Our 2 nannies became like family. I will always be grateful for their dedication and hard work. They inspired me to become a nanny myself. I love children and am excited to work with them as I await my first grandchild.
