I am a 64 year old nanny with lots of experience caring for children, newborn to teenagers. I have worked in this field for the past 14 years. Before that, I was an instructional aide in the Leominster Public Schools for 15 years. I am the mother of 4 grown children and grandmother to 5. I have lived in Boynton Beach for the past 3 years. I have been working with the same family in Boca Raton for the past 3 years but now “the baby” is in school and I would like to supplement my income with some extra hours. Before Florida, I lived in Connecticut where I worked with 3 different families. We lived very close to New Haven so all my families were professional Yale affiliates, who would give me excellent recommendations. I have my own car and am very comfortable taking older children to after school Read more activities or little ones to story hour or music classes, etc. I have worked in many different settings with lots of varied personalities. I am very good at communicating with parents and listening to their needs and concerns about their children. I am kind, nurturing and intelligent and always make my families my top priority. I feel a nanny's job is to make a home run smoothly, let parent's leave for work without a worry for the welfare of their child. My own children are professionals who also face the same problems that my employer's face. Because of that, I have a true understanding of the needs of the children and the parents.
