Growing up in large family has meant that caring for others is second nature to me. The natural progression to nannying was easy for me and the position allows me to fulfil my passion of helping families to nurture children during their first years into the world. Being a nanny is such a rewarding position as you are helping to shape a young child through everyday interaction. I believe going outside and being in nature is a fantastic environment for children to learn. I often go on long walks to either the park, beach or children outdoor play-gym. Additionally, I believe reading is a fundamental part of any child’s development, especially starting from a young age. Reading allows children to learn words, colours, shapes in a fun and interactive way. Outside of nannying I like to spend time playing sports particularly netball of which I am a member of the Read more DC Dragon’s netball club. Also, I love to cook and learn new recipes through cooking shows. Finally, I volunteer with the US Coast Guard as an Ombudsman. An Ombudsman is a family liaison that aids and supports the families of active-duty members by providing resources and information to help mitigate the challenges of military life.
