Hello there 👋 My name is Leslie, I am a 35 year old artist and maker and nanny. I love any creative endeavors, enjoy facilitating artistic expression, and delight in exposing children to new ways to express themselves with lots of color. I like outside activities with lots of sunscreen, and have worked as a camp counselor in the past, facilitating swimming classes and outdoor activities. I have taught children to ice skate, ride their bikes and scooters, and to swim and rescue float. I am a CNA and have experience caring for children with health challenges and/or developmental disabilities. I have years of experience passing medication in medical facilities and am comfortable managing any medical needs your kiddos might encounter. I have had CPR and first aide training through the Red Cross multiple times. I have worked with all kinds of families, from all kinds of backgrounds and cultures, and I have found that I thrive most when working with families who consider their childcare provider to be an additional part of the parenting team, an additional leg on the stool if you will. I believe in helping to raise kind, empowered, informed, and inquisitive future leaders in whichever arena they step into. I believe it is an incredible gift, and even bigger responsibility, to be able to help create a safe and nurturing environment for a little one to live in, so that they are empowered to feel brave and capable when they go out into the world.
