Hi there! I am a mature, reliable and kind caregiver. I believe in gentle parenting with boundaries that are age and cognitive developmentally appropriate, as well as teaching, and using positive reinforcement with children. Being engaged with and listening to children makes them feel loved and secure. I love reading to babies, stroller rides, parks, and having other adventures, such as zoo and museum trips that expose them to the world, and fostering development with engagement and fun learning activities. I also love doing arts and crafts with children. I enjoy painting in my free time. I’m a 50-year-old mom myself to a wonderful 16-year-old boy and have been nannying off and on for 30 years. I have experience with children of all ages. I’ve done everything from caring for babies and preschoolers, to after school care, homeschooling, and substitute teaching. As far as education I have a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in artI have also taken courses and received training in child development, attaining my early childhood professional credential 3, level 2. I am a certified veterinary assistant as well. Currently I’m working on a masters degree in forensic psychology. I know, quite a change! I just really want to make a difference in people’s lives and contribute something positive to the world. I'm fully vaccinated and boosted and have a reliable car.
