Hi there, I'm Mindy! Former New Yorker and the newest resident of LA as of two months ago. You can find me reading at the beach, hiking in the mountains (masking up of course!), or spending A LOT of time at home binging Bridgerton :) I'm a yoga teacher/life coach just starting out in business. My professional background is in PR/marketing, however, I've nannied part-time in the past for two different families (one in Ohio, one in New York) as well as taking care of my two lovable nephews (ages 2 and 5). Babysitting + Nannying experience: 2015: Nanny to a family of 3 young boys (ages 2-6) Spent 6 months being a PT nanny for a great family of both working parents in Ohio. The day was divided up into spending a full day with the 2-year-old (while the 5 and 6-year-old were at school) and ~2 hours with Read more all 3 of the boys as the parents were returning from work. Duties included: active play/managing household tasks/bringing kids to play dates/preparing snacks + meals. 2017: Nanny to a family of 2 school-aged boys (ages 7 and 11) Spent 4 months being a PT nanny/assistant to a family in Manhattan. The day was spent picking the kids up from school + afternoon and evening activities. Duties include: school pickup/ toting them to and from activities + playdates/preparing snacks + meals/homework/splitting time between mom and dad's apartment (the two parents were divorced and split custody). Additionally, I have two nephews (ages 2 and 5) who I have spent the majority of the year during the pandemic (prior to my move to Los Angeles). We spent many quarantined days reading books, playing legos and trains, and chasing each other outside. I love being active — my time is best spent outdoors. I'm super hands-on around children and value active play, reading books, and playing games above technology and videos. Time is best spent together, rather than sitting in front of tv! I'm super I'm in the middle of a huge career transition (starting my own business!) and looking for something that's manageable and part-time, but also fulfilling and fun. Happy to send you a few references of my childcare background if need be. Can't wait to meet you!
