Working with children is not for everyone, but I have had my fair share of experience working at an elementary school. Of course, I was just assisting the teacher, but there were several times where I was left alone with students. While that experience alone might make someone run for the hills, it did the opposite for me. Even when some students were difficult and did not want to listen to me, I always kept a calm and positive attitude, because at the end of the day, they are just kids. I graduated last year with my BA in Psychology, and ever since I took a child development class, I knew I wanted to work with children for the rest of my life. That being said, I am also interested in furthering my career by pursuing my masters in Occupational Therapy. What sets me apart is that I am not Read more just looking for a job, but a chance to make a positive impact on young people's lives.
