Hello there! My name is Gaby. I’m a recent graduate and made the exciting decision to move back to Santa Barbara after spending an amazing 13 years in the beautiful city of Denver, Colorado. My adventures in childcare began in a classroom setting, where I had the privilege of being a co-lead teacher in an early childhood classroom catering to little ones aged 2.5 to 4 years old. During those three years, I had the pleasure of watching these young minds grow and flourish. I later spent six years at this facility, where I took on the role of after-school and summer camp coordinator. It was during this time that I forged deep and meaningful connections with both the families and the children I had the joy of working with. In addition to my classroom and childcare experience, I've also worked closely with kids as a professional face painter. This always added an extra element of fun when I babysat. I absolutely thrive on creativity and cherish the opportunity to foster learning through play and creative activities. With a background in Industrial Design, I'm passionate about working with my hands and encouraging kids to do the same. Having worked at an underfunded community center, I've learned to be resourceful with materials and can easily come up with exciting projects on the spot. Beyond my love for creativity, I'm also an avid traveler and nature enthusiast. Safety and clear communication are my utmost priorities when it comes to caring for your child. I understand the significance of stepping into a nanny position, not just as a caregiver but as a primary source of support. Consistency and compassion are key elements in how I approach childcare, ensuring that your child feels secure and cherished under my care.
