Hello, everyone! I'm Syndie, and I'm all about creativity, fun, and being a big kid at heart. I'm currently pursuing my AA in Fine Arts, and let me tell you, it's been an absolute blast. I truly believe that my love for all things creative allows me to connect with children on a deeper level, and I'm always looking for new ways to spark their imaginations and foster important bonds. For five years, I lived in Los Angeles and had the privilege of working as a full-time nanny. It was easily the most rewarding chapter of my life, and I learned so much about myself and the world around me. I recently made a slight change of scenery and moved up to the Central Coast, where I've been enjoying the ocean breeze for nearly four years. My first family had four children, but I mainly cared for the youngest, who was just 2.5 years old at the time. Can you believe he's about to turn 11? Time flies when you're having fun! I was their live-in nanny and took care of everything from carpool duties to light housekeeping and date night sitting. I'm grateful to have built such a strong bond with the family that even though I'm no longer their nanny, we still keep in touch. My second family had three kiddos - two boys and a girl. The youngest had type 1 diabetes, so I was mainly responsible for her diabetes care and managing her blood sugar levels. When I wasn't doing that, I was working as an executive assistant for their mom. Answering emails, managing schedules, shopping, and after-school activities were all part of my daily routine. I was even lucky enough to travel with the youngest to summer camp in Pennsylvania to help manage her diabetes. It was during my first visit to Roslyn Harbor that I fell in love with those sweet, magical, New York summers. I was with my third family December 2020 to June 2021, and I had an absolute blast caring for their four children. We shared so many laughs and adventures, from looking for fairies to navigating Zoom school and real school. Even though they'll be moving to New York at the end of the summer, I still get to babysit them from time to time. I can't wait for more laughs, more fairies, and more fun. All of the experiences and bonds I've created over the last 9+ years have been incomparable and enriching to my life. I'm excited to use these experiences to continue bringing smiles and laughter to new families in this next chapter of my life. If you have any questions or want to chat more, hit me up! New York has always had a huge part of my heart, and after spending a few summers there, I promised myself I'd visit every summer after. However, Covid had other plans and I haven't been back since 2019. With a break from school, I'm looking to expand and adventure out into the east coast to provide next level care to an amazing family. As a dedicated and experienced childcare professional, I take pride in my ability to connect with children and create a safe, nurturing environment for them to learn and grow. My natural creativity and sense of fun allow me to engage with children of all ages, and I take great pleasure in helping them explore their interests and discover new ones. Above all, I am committed to providing a warm and caring presence in the lives of the children I work with, and I believe that my skills and experience make me the ideal candidate for any childcare position.
