Hello friends! I’m excited to get to know you. My name is Sophia, I’m 30 years old and moved from the Bay Area to Portland almost two years ago. I have worked in childcare for over a decade and am experienced with a wide age range, from infant to teen. I am currently working in the service industry but have been feeling a pull to get back into childcare and am hoping to find a wonderful family to build a relationship with. My childcare experience ranges from babysitting on weekends, nannying throughout the week, and teaching swim to all ages. I am CPR certified in infant, child, and adult. My experience is vast, but the best thing about me is my ability to relate to any child. I’m naturally a light hearted and goofy person, and in my opinion this allows little ones to feel more comfortable, especially when meeting Read more a new adult. I love to create games and activities to keep us busy, entertained, and learning, catering to the developmental age of whoever I’m with! My knowledge of developmental stages helps me create age appropriate activities and personalized care. I am comfortable with helping around the home as well as caring for your littles. I have been in homes where I was asked to help with laundry, prepping and serving food, light cleaning, and errands. My love for children isn’t the only reason I’ve chosen to come back into this field. It is also the pride I get from helping out a family, the trust that a family can have in me, and a special bond that can be irreplaceable between a family and their childcare provider. Trusting someone with your children isn’t an easy thing to do and I understand the severity of that. I want to be able to give you ease, comfort, and peace knowing your child or children are in good hands with someone they, and you, feel safe with, someone that’s reliable, and someone that feels like family. I hope to hear from you soon!
