Hello! I'm a warm and caring woman, who has 37 years of experience in child care and working with people. I'm looking to change location, and therefore am now available to a family out there who is looking for the expertise I have to offer! I have a 4 year degree in child care & youth work, majors; psychology, education and methodology, health subjects and social subjects. I’m trained and experienced in behavioral therapy, experienced in speech therapy/physical therapy, I have several first aid trainings, plus I’m CPR certified. By hiring me, you'll get a caretaker for your little one who will love them, teach them ways to be emotionally healthy and learn healthy social behavior. I'm a caretaker able to recognize you child’s strengths/talents/gifts and encourage them to thrive. You'll also get a caretaker who can recognize your child’s weaknesses and challenges, and help them face them with confidence Read more and thrive. I believe in a life away from screens, that children have a healthy developmental support by real life - in climbing trees, building forts, exploring nature, imaginary play, baking, cooking, sewing, knitting, playing ball, play dressup, dig in the dirt, plant/grow flowers/vegetables, experience animals, go camping, swimming, etc, a life lived experiencing the joys of life, and learn to be caring citizens in our society. I do face paint, I’m creative and love art. I believe in the power of books and music. I’m an outdoorsy person, I love hiking, yoga, swimming, fishing, reading, history, exploring and learning. I know tools, love gardening, farming and animals big and small. I sew, knit, draw, paint, woodwork. I cook, bake and I'm very organized. I'm good at recognizing what children need and create the right space for them. I use encouragement in a way which results in children becoming good at listening and understanding the reasons behind choices made for them, which again results in easy going children with healthy communication skills. I’m good at helping children through meltdowns. I will love your child as if they were mine. In hiring me, you as a parent will be able to have peace of mind, and to have a helper with high expertise in caring for your children. I'm employed with a child care company in Los Gatos, but I want to change location so I'm looking for work along the coast from Carmel to Aptos. I'll be able to offer your little one a safe, healthy, loving environment which will help them thrive.
