I have had a passion for education and nurturing young minds since before I graduated secondary school. I worked as a Pre Kindergarten teacher for almost 8 years, creating fun and stimulating activities for my students. I have my Early Childhood Education credential and am fully trained in CPR AND first aid. I also worked as a nanny for an 11 year old boy on the Autism spectrum for over 2 years while I was in school earning my BA in Education. After earning my BA, I worked as a behavior therapist with special needs students ages 2-18. I am a registered behavior therapist and am comfortable working with students with various learning needs. I began working as a nanny again during graduate school when I was studying for my English Teaching Credential. As a nanny, I care for children infant to 13 years old in a home setting. I Read more have also done extensive tutoring and curriculum instruction for students from elementary to high school, and I enjoy creating fun, student centered activities for each child that I work with. I enjoy creating and implementing creative, student centered activates That activate a students prior knowledge and interests so that each student is inspired by learning. I love working with children and young adults of all ages. I enjoy watching the learning process unfold and being an observer to the social, emotional and cognitive growth that occurs throughout childhood when a child is properly nurtured and allowed to express themselves in healthy ways.
