Howdy, I am a current preschool teacher at west Los Angeles community college. I have been working in the child development center for 7 years now. I am the lead teacher in the prekindergarten classroom, so I work with 4-5 year olds. Because of covid, our district has changed to remote learning. I am with my students from 10 am to 11 am Monday’s and Wednesday’s. I use Tuesdays and Thursdays as office hours . I will have more time in my hands so I am interested , in helping families transition into this new norm of online school, it has been a crazy year! Or if you just want some extra hands in your home, I can do that too! So schedules is something we would have to discuss.. given that I have my teaching job in the mornings, I might need some flexibility to attend work meetings or Read more seminars. My passion for this field goes way back when I was a kinder. Children are so inquisitive and full of capabilities that many times we don’t provide a learning environment where they can show us what they got. I love my job because I can create a space where the sky is the limit, where we will get dirty as we learn, where we can dress up as super hero’s just because, where it’s the process that matters and not the product, and most importantly a safe and nurturing environment where they feel that they MATTER.
