Barbara Lucas, Greek /Lebanese American. Born and raised from second generation immigrants full of color, language and culture. In a area of New England south of Boston Massachusetts in the United States of America. A small town with an amazing development of diversity. I grew up with strong feelings and awareness of Indian natives from whom understood the closeness to being one with nature. I Studied, traveled, lived, worked and explored the world with interest of wonder and adventure! Life's experience is the development of learning all in itself! I am a artist. I live and see the world with a very sensitive eye full of creativity and a magic of wonder! My goal is to be and to teach the long life of the love of learning! I am a mother of two beautiful boys, art/ consultant, teacher, Jewelry designer ,fashion designer, interior designer, life coach, yoga instructor, manager, Read more director problem solver, leader, amazing life skills. My motto is to decorate the home and the body with a awareness of oneself and understanding. Education . BFA fine arts / textile design . Southeastern Massachusetts University. My college was the best textile school. I truly love learning . Certified in art K-12 . IB certified diploma years in visual arts. Tribes training. Yoga alliance teacher training certified 200hrs in India. Environmentalist. creative writer. I have worked, traveled, experienced, learned and adapted to many cultures. I started out my profession as an art teacher and artist in the USA. Travelled from the east coast to the west coast of the USA 4times with wonder of learning and seeing the beautiful diversity and experience on the way .Started my own businesses .The paint shop, up scale salon , treasures and pleasures ,antique buyer , consult local business for start up. Had many amazing learning opportunities in management couture and corporate. Gained knowledge in the wine industry in California and Florida with local wine makers Developed my creative writing skills while working for a designer fabric e-commerce /store . I was also the in house decorator My first adventure internationally was in Asia where was a professor of English at a very important Asian medicine college in South Korea . I lived there two years hiking mountains learning the language and developing my own expressive arts. My second international experience was in a beautiful place in Africa called Egypt. The country is fascinating and full of love and beauty. I taught kg2 with a integrated hands on student centered philosophy. I also was responsible with development and design of the art program an integration of subject areas to reinforce learning also worked closely with the owner of the school to redesign the school . Many projects were undertaken. I developed true love for Egypt and the amazing culture. My third experience was in South America Venezuela. An amazing small nurturing school catered to the whole child and total awareness of the whole school to the child. I was the art teacher to all grade levels also I was second grade classroom teacher. Worked closely with the director to strategize projects of marketing and developing the school. The country and culture gave me the opportunity to explore the islands , the mountains ,the inside beauty as a local. My fourth international experience brought me to the Middle East, Kuwait. Where I was a middle school art teacher to a private school which was structured by Islamic values. My fifth brought me to Casablanca, Morocco to develop an art program in a American school , teach yoga, and to share my knowledge learn and explore the wonders of that part of the world.. My philosophy in education is to create a safe learning environment project based student interest centered. Development to guide and nourish independent creative thinkers with a deeper understanding of ones inner self and make the relation to there own culture. My goal in the arts is to intergrade all areas of the students learning with a holistic approach to develop self awareness of all areas of subjects as one. Developing a healthy well being!
