Hi! I’ve interacted and have worked with children in many different settings and age groups. In the last 5 years, I worked in a preschool for 2 years, then a nanny to 3 toddlers for 2 years, and then worked at a Montessori Charter school with children ages 4-12 as support in special education. I have worked also worked as an elementary teacher, teacher assistant in a Montessori classroom, a tutor in reading and math, and worked as a nanny in other past positions. Since I’ve been working with children for awhile, I recently renewed my first aid and CPR training and my vaccinations are updated. In some of my teaching experiences, I have also worked with children who have special needs including autism. I have my bachelors degree in liberal arts, with my concentration in chid development, and my teaching credential is in grades K-6th grade. I love being Read more active outdoors, reading, traveling, gardening, watching shows in the theater, and going to concerts. I can cook, have a clean driving record, and like keeping things organized. I enjoy animals and have a dog and a turtle. Unfortunately, I’m allergic to cats. I enjoy being creative with children of all ages and appreciate how each child develops in their own unique way. I like to find fun activities involving movement and creating art projects according to the children’s interests. I also love reading with children and understand the importance of literacy development. I’m flexible during the week M-F but spend time with my two teenage daughters and family on the weekends. I’ll be available in July since that is when my current teaching position at a preschool is done.
