Hello! Thank you for taking time to view my profile! I would like to tell you a short summary of my experience working with children. I am a UC Santa Cruz graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. During my time at UCSC I took a few psychology courses which provided me with a better understanding about the developmental needs of children and social behaviors as well as how to work overall with children as they grow and develop during their early years. Soon after Was when I discovered my passion in life are children and being able to work with them. I am a dependable, caring, passionate, fun, artsy, responsible and experienced nanny and caregiver who is available now and is actively looking for full time work inthe childcare field. I am currently looking for a long term position with a family however if you are seeing this Read more then I am also able to work part time jobs as well until I find a full time position. I have over 15 years of paid work experience in childcare. I began as a babysitter and then had 4 years working full time as a Teachers Aide in a private daycare and pre-kindergarten facility located in Santa Cruz, CA. During these 4 years I was assigned primarily to the infant room (6 weeks-1 year) and the toddler room (1-2 year old children). After I returned back to Alameda I was fortunate to get to work in a home daycare-preschool facility which was what I did for about 2 years until the COVID-19 pandemic started and the shut down took place. Once the daycare closed down I found a job working for a family as a nanny for their 3 boys ages 2 months, 3 years and 6 years old. I helped their family by taking care of all 3 boys and helped with household chores while the parents had to adjust to working from home and the children being home at the time. It was a position that combined the “nanny” role with a “mother’s helper” role. I stayed with them for about 7 months before ending that job when the family relocated to Southern California. Since then I spent my time working for another family in Alameda taking care of the 3 kids (ages at the start of the job were 2.5years old , 7 years old and 9 years old). The position has slowly been tapering itself down due to a very small with the amount of work they have for me since all 3 kids are now back to attending in person classes and the youngest has started attending a daycare..
