I am a mother of three grown children. I was a stay-at-home mom for over 20 years. For the past 6 months, I've taken care of a lady of 88 years. She had dementia and stage 4 cancer. Just a couple of weeks ago she was laughing, walking and talking with me. She had a stroke a couple weeks ago. She died this past week. I loved her very much. It was a great experience taking care of her. She wa a very sweet lady. Prior to the latest job I worked for a family taking care of their two kids for 2 years. The oldest just turned 3 and the youngest I believe was 5 months old. I loved the family and kids and I still work for them on occasion. The youngest got to an age and understanding that they thought he needed to have interaction with other Read more kids. I also agreed. They were a great family. My longest job was 4 years. I took care of two girls ages 3 and 5 when I started and then they added a brother at 5 weeks I started with. I did a lot for them. Cooking breakfast and lunch, getting them dressed and ready for school, driving them to school as well as after school activities. I helped with homework and projects and did the laundry. They moved to Dallas. In my first nanny job, I took care of a 5-month-old girl with Down syndrome. She had a feeding tube for most of the time I worked for them. Which I learned quickly how to use. She had several surgeries while I worked for them. She had tonsil and tubes put in her ears and a heart surgery. She recovered in no time. Working and taking care of he was fun. In the end, she started going to daycare a couple of times a week and I needed a full-time job. She was 3 when that job ended All of these are great jobs. I do my best to take care of what the families ask for. I'm looking for another family that I fit in with watching their children or a senior person. Thank you for your consideration.
