Hello! We have a 5 year old son who is incredibly sweet, smart and excited about all the little wonders of life. He has been in school and daycare since age 1. He started pre-k last month and was really overwhelmed. He struggled with interacting with other kids for years and we are now figuring out that he also struggles with sensory processing issues. Because of this, we made the decision to take him out of pre-k for this year. We will be working with therapists weekly to help him.
Someone who is energetic, fun-loving and patient but can also stand their ground. He loves to be engaged and play. He typically does great with adults once he gets to know them. Would love for someone who can take him to the park, museums etc. Mom and Dad will most likely do the play therapy appts. with him in the afternoons. Teaching pre-k level curriculum would be a huge bonus.
We live right by the Pearl Brewery area. Urban and walkable for lots of exploring. Our schedules are fairly flexible but 2-3 week days (Probably Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) from 9 - 2 pm would be great.
