We have a loving and affectionate 4 year old son with autism who is non verbal and uses his AAC device to communicate. We also have a bubbly 8 month old baby boy. We are looking for a parent helper with morning and evening/night routine starting at 5am with alternating weekends due to work schedule. For clarification my wife is a nurse that works overnight and I work at a hospital where I work 16-hour shifts two times during the week and 8 hour shifts alternating weekends. When my wife comes home from work I need assistance with either dropping off my toddler son at school or watching and care for (which may include feeding and bathing and getting ready for day and possible put down for nap as well) my 8 month old infant while my wife sleeps for a bit. On days I work my wife's day starts early at 5 am so I can get ready and go leave for work by 6:15 am. She will need assistance with the boys in the first half of the morning. The other need will be during the evening when my wife goes to work and leaves at 615p to work overnight her 12 hour shift. I will be alone with both kids and my eldest is still handling being with the 8 month old at home (work in progress). At times my toddler wants to not be in the same room as the baby due to excessive noise his baby brother is making. So a hand would definitely go a long way. Usually the 8 month old goes to sleep for the night around 7-8p. The infant is fed around 6:30p-7p and then given a bath and off to bed shortly after.
