We are looking for "on-call" coverage for our son. My wife and I work in medicine and I am away from our home in Boston some of the time. My wife takes call on average 1-2 nights a week, and when I am away we need someone who can be "on-call" as needed in case she has to respond to an urgent patient need by going in to the hospital.

The care would involve earning a flat-rate for being available, and a higher rate if you have to actually come over. The hours for "on-call" would be evening and overnight.

The actual need to come over to cover childcare would not be uncommon to rare, so most of the money earned would be for no work, just being available.
