Hi There! We are expecting our first baby boy towards the end of October 2024. We will have a total of ~3-4 months off before heading back to work full-time. We are looking for a great nanny to care for our little one at our home during work hours! We are looking for someone with experience caring for a newborn and who values creating a strong partnership with us. The role would be 5 days per week most weeks, with minimum of 30-35 hours, ranging to 40-45 hours some weeks.
The full-time position would start in ~February (depending on timing of parental leave). We would want to try to work out something more part-time / sporadic in December or January, which can be flexible and align with your needs and availability - the goal during this time would just be to gain familiarity and comfort with each other! We're hoping to find someone who could commit to working with us for a year, with the option to extend if its mutual.
Location would be at our house in Des Plaines, IL. We would prefer to have someone within a ~30 minute commute, but open to conversations with anyone outside of that range as well. My husband and I each work from home about 50% of the time, so there will usually be one of us around the house, but plenty of room for you and the baby to have your own space.
