This friendly family is seeking an experienced, creative and friendly Educator/Reading Tutor to stay long-term with their family. Family has 3 children: ages 7, 12 and 13. The 7 year old boy (2nd grade), will be the primary focus for this job. He struggles primarily with reading and some math. his person must have: prior teaching experience-primarily experience teaching children how to read and/or an education degree.
The candidate will work directly with the 7 year old on reading skills and math. Given he is young, this person should be very creative to make the learning fun. This could include taking breaks and doing fun activities with him such as games, playing outside, going to the park, etc. If this person would like more hours, and has the skills to help out the older children (12 and 13) with primarily math, this can be added into the schedule as well.
Family is flexible on the schedule and number of hours per week. The children are in school until 4pm-so the thought is to have the person come for 1-2 hours sometime after-school a few days a week and/or weekend.
